Approvals And What They Mean:
GHA - This is the Golden Horseshoes Approval. This would be the approval for any horse who doesn't have the greatest show record, or has never been bred, or never raced.
GHPA - This is the Golden Horseshoes Performance Approval. You guessed it. Your horse should have either a.) an extensive, long show record or b.) a short but outstanding show record (i.e. many top 10s, Champions). For considering application for this approval, your horse MUST have over 2000 points!!
GHBA - Golden Horseshoes Breeding Approval. Your horse should have at least 2 foals who are performing well in the showring. You horse could be a strict stud/broodmare, or could still be showing. You should take into consideration that the more foals that your horse has that are performing very well, the better.
GHRA - Golden Horseshoes Racing Approval. Right now, I don't think anyone will get this award, since racing is just beginning again. In order to get this award, your horse must have come in first in at least one major race (not a maiden!), and at the time of earning the approval, must still be racing.
